Let's Bake Cinnamon Apple Cake
We baked apple cakes for Halloween!
Apples are famous fall fruits in America, so we used them in our cooking.
We cooperated with each other and baked yummy cakes. We really enjoyed eating them.
We also made Halloween paper crafts by using toilet paper rolls. We created various kinds of monsters related to Halloween!
【Instructions】<作り方>
1. Preheat oven to 180 C standard / 160 C fan-forced. Grease and line an 8 or 9 inch round cake tin baking or parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, add flour(210 grams), baking powder(2 tea spoons), baking soda(1/2 teaspoon) and sugar(150 grams). Add chopped 1 large apple and stir briefly to combine.
3. In a separate bowl, add 2 eggs, vanilla(1 teaspoon), oil(120 ml) and yoghurt(120 ml). Whisk briefly just to break up the egg yolks.
4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and gently mix with a wooden spoon until combined ー but be careful not to over mix. Spoon batter into prepared tin.
5. To make cinnamon topping, combine cinnamon(1 teaspoon), sugar(50 grams) and butter(1 tablespoon). Mix together until lumpy and wet. Sprinkle over cake batter.
6. Bake cake for approximately 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean. Transfer cake to a wire rack to cool completely.
7. To make the glaze, mix together sugar(30 grams) and 1 tablespoon of milk. Stir until smooth. If the glaze is too thick, add an extra tablespoon of milk. Drizzle glaze all over the cake.
